Billy McGrath on Broadway

The showing of Billy McGrath on Broadway is made possible through the effort of Carey Williams, who has provided the projector and display of the Bell & Howell 2709  camera original Chicago Essanay Studios.  As well we are grateful to David Kiehn, Historian of the Niles Essanay Film Museum who providing the only remaining copy of Billy McGrath on Broadway, a Chicago produced Essanay Studios film.

Essanay Film Manufacturing Company production; distributed by The General Film Company, Incorporated. / Released 4 March 1913. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.37:1 format. / The production was shot at the Essanay studios in Chicago, Illinois. A print of the film was recovered by Tom Jarvis of Grand Junction, Colorado, in 2005 and donated to the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum in November 2006.

Comedy.

Survival Status: Print exists in the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum film collection [35mm nitrate positive].
